Avant Garden Looking Glass Hummingbird Feeder allows me to break the rules of this blog and to advise on an interesting and enhancing way to actually ATTRACT animals to your garden! I know – quite a switch. However, the topics here consider “control”, so I’m going to insist on “controlling” a bird population by inviting them in. This gorgeous little unit is very effective as a hummingbird attractor. Many people rave about not only its effectiveness as a feeder but they also enjoy – even revel – in the fact that it is simply gorgeous. Which it is. The pretty lines of the metal surrounding the glass allow terrific purchase for those hungry little birds who love the color and the goodies inside. Forgive me this perhaps odd intrusion with an attracting item, but I just had to deliver something a bit more pleasant to interrupt our constant flow of problem-solving in dealing with these animals, insects and bacteria with whom we share the Planet.

Birds are beautiful animals, and a joy to have around normally. However, under many circumstances birds turn into pests to be rid of.
